LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30, 1984) is an American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The nickname is King James he is widely considered one of the greatest basketball players ever and has often been compared with Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James has taken home four NBA championships and four NBA MVP Awards, and four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is the holder of the highest amount of points scored during the postseason, second highest all-time score, and the 7th the most assists in his career. The NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, which is a record. James has also been selected to make the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. The third most amount of NBA Finals ever was ten, with eight being consecutive between 2011-2018. James was selected to his place on the NBA 75th Anniversary Team and became the NBA's first player who has attained 10,000 points or more as well as rebounds and assists throughout his career. He will be the first to do so in 2022. James was a basketball player at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron in Ohio. James was feted by national media as the future NBA superstar.
