Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American performer and actress. Her first release was humorous, cleverly written music that tackled topics like race as well as sexual orientation. Then she expanded her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living in Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was from the trumpet. Following her Jazz and classical training her interest in hip-hop grew as a teen. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism and women's studies at college, even studying Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. The focus changed to music only after she completed her degree. The year 2012 saw My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured in her debut album Yellow Ranger. Other viral hits included the queef song and the winking NYC Bitchecity tour. The latter song was linked directly with another Awkwafina project NYC Travel Guide, which was published in the year 2015. Her resume contained both an the musician and author. The singer was seeking to expand her career into acting. As well as early shows that included Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered several notable parts, including Dude Ocean 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. That June she issued the EP in Fina We Trust.
