Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a well-known American actress and singer. Bell is born in 1980 and is a Michigan native, born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen discovered her talents within the industry of entertainment at a young age. In 1992, she attended her first audition. She was given a part on Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mother introduced her to an agent prior to her turning thirteen, and she got her first role for television and newspaper commercials. In addition, Bell started taking private acting classes. Bell had a minor role that was not credited to her for her part in Polish Wedding (1998), in 1998. Bell was a part of the drama and music clubs of Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was presented by the high school, and she was awarded the part of Dorothy. After graduation Bell made the move into New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where she was a musical theater student. Bell dropped out of her studies in 2001 and assumed the role of Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 that Bell's first appearance in a movie that had been credited, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part is cut off and the credits are all that depict her. Bell appeared with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
